Assumption College Management

Assumption College, affiliated to Kerala University back in 1949, is at present affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Included under section 2(f) and 12 B of the UGC Act, the college was accredited by the NAAC in the year 2000. It is a minority institution established under article 30(i) of the Indian Constitution, owned and managed by the Archdiocese of Changanacherry. The Archbishop of Changanaserry is the Patron of the college. The management of the college is vested in a governing body consisting of the Vicar-General of the Archdiocese (Ex-officio President), Principal (Ex-officio Secretary), Procurator, Vice-Principal and Bursar. The other members are appointed in accordance with the rules of the administration of the college approved by the University.
