Department of Computer Science

Established in 1995, the Department was one of the first of its kind in Kerala. It now offers UG (aided) and PG (self-financing) courses in Computer Science introduced in 1995 and 2001 respectively. The Department offers two short-term modules in MS Office and Internet Technology, much in demand among students.

• The Computer Science Association for the year 2009-10 was formally inaugurated on 4^th August 2009 by Prof. Jubilant J. Kizhakkethottam, HOD of Computer Science, St. Joseph College of Engineering, Choondacherry, Palai.
  

• The paper presentation of Athira O. K and Anju Anna Kurian of I^st DC Computer Science has been selected for presentation at the International Seminar,ISTEK-08 going to be held at CMS College Coimbatore on 7^th march 2008.
  
  

• Athira O. K. of I^st DC Computer Science has been selected as the "IT WIZARD 2008" in the IT fest IGNITE 08 at Marian College , Kuttikanam held on 13^th, 14^th and 15^th February 2008.
  
  

• On 10^th January 2007 Dept. of Computer Science conducted an Interdepartment IT Quiz competition.
