Various clubs like Quiz club, Tourism Club, Debate club, Music Club, Dance club Theatre Club, Nature Club, Yoga Club, Film club, Press club etc function in the college in order to widen the interests of the students. Membership is voluntary. Each club has a member of the faculty as an advisor.
The Music club and Dance club train members for competitions, public performances, channel presentations and youth festivals. Instrumental music classes are conducted by the Music club. The Quiz club, and Debate club meet weekly, arrange competitions and training sessions for members. The Tourism club functions in accordance with the guidelines set by the State Tourism Cell. The Theatre club brings together students interested in theatre arts and seeks to cultivate their histrionic talents. The Nature club, sponsored by Kannan Devan [Tata] Tea, conducts competitions, classes, seminars and nature trips for members. The Health club conducts regular yoga classes, and stress management programmes for members who take part in University yoga competitions. The Film club aims to create in members an appreciation of cinema as an art form and initiate them into the technical aspects of filmmaking. The Press club, a forum for
budding journalists, arranges seminars and workshops on modern journalistic trends and
techniques. Members get ample opportunity to interact with eminent personalities in the field
Entrepreneurship Development Club
The Department of Economics is co-ordinating the Entrepreneurship Development Club - a club launched by the Kerala Institute of Entrepreneurship Development. The club aims at nurturing students as budding entrepreneurs. Students from Economics, Commerce, Home Science and Fashion Technology streams are members of the ED club. Shri P.H Kurian IAS, Principal Secretary of Industries and M.D. of KSIDC inaugurated the club on 8th of February 2005. The club gets financial assistance from the government for carrying out seminars, workshops, training programmes and other activities aimed at entrepreneurial development.
Youth Red Cross
The youth Red Cross Unit of this college with fifty students as volunteers was registered in 1998. The unit is registered with the Indian Red Cross Society, Kottayam. It is an effective medium to inculcate the Red Cross ideals, aspirations and aims in the minds of the growing generation. Activities include first-aid training camps, collection &distribution of old clothes, medicines/ books, awareness creation programmes on health and hygiene, environmental protection, disastrous consequences of the consumption of alcoholic liquor and the use of drugs, smoking and chewing tobacco etc.
Folklore Club
Department of Malayalam launched a Folklore club for the Malayalam and History students in association with Kerala Folklore Association, Kannur on 2 February 2006. The registered club [Ref No. 1885/05, No. 14/06] known as Thanima, aims at reviving the traditional art forms, traditional knowledge systems etc. The activities include recording the details of the traditional art forms, literature and medicinal systems, visit to historical sites etc. HOD, Malayalam dept is the convener of the Club.

Forum for Free Interaction [FOF]
This is an inter-disciplinary discussion forum for students co-ordinated by the Department of Economics. The Forum at present consists of roughly 38 students from various departments. The forum is supported by Center for Civil Society, New Delhi -an academic think tank. The major activities include doing research projects, organising seminars, movie/documentary shows competitions for students etc. The present co-ordinators are Priya Joseph [II DC English], Remya Krishnan [I DC Economics] and Aneela A.[I DC Economics].
