Assumption College, affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, is
one of the biggest and the most reputed NAAC accredited women’s
colleges in the state.  For more than half a century
Assumption College has been rendering invaluable service
in the field of higher education. Nearly 2000 students
study in this college. Assumption College is best known
for its highest standards of spontaneous discipline,
admirable academic brilliance and outstanding physical
culture. The college won the prestigious
R Shankar Award from the Government of Kerala for the best college in the state in 1996-97, one of the first colleges to be
honored so. For the past many years the college has held undisputed sway over the sports and games fields.
We became the first recipients of the
Kerala Sports Council’s Award for the best college in Sports & Games.
Thrice we were champions in the Prestigious College Games, conducted by Kerala Sports Council.
Many of our athletes have distinguished themselves at National And International Meets.

Not even a single year has passed without University Ranks.
For years, our students have represented Kerala in the National level
Youth Parliament Competitions and have became the Best Parliamentarian

kalathilakam in various University Youth Festivals.
Olympian Chitra K Soman, SAF Games Medalist K.M Greeshma, Urvasi Award Winner Meera Jasmine
are all Assumption Girls.
